Over the holidays, my family and I traveled north to spend some time with our extended family in Colorado. While it is always a whirlwind adventure for us, I was able to sneak away for a few sessions and get a little artistic break from all of the craziness. I have been dying to share because, well, Colorado is incredible.
Stacey has been a friend of mine through social media for almost six years and I finally had the honor of meeting her and her precious family for a session in Colorado. Stacey had moved to Colorado two years prior to that, but life was taking them back to Florida and they were going to be moving the day after our session. Her whole family had come to CO for Christmas and then to help them move, so Stacey and her husband decided it would be the perfect Christmas gift for their families. She wanted COLORADO in her portraits and since I grew up in Colorado Springs, I couldn't have chosen any location besides one in front of mountains. We meant on a hillside in Castle Pines, CO and holy moly it was amazing! Late December in Colorado isn't exactly the warmest time of the year and there was plenty of wind, but we still had lots of fun and we all got our last "oooohs and ahhhhs" as we ogled the beautiful views.
