Heather contacted me a couple weeks ago about doing a maternity session and I just knew I was going to blow this one out of the water. I was craving something new and fun. I immediately jumped in the car and drove down to a neighboring village as I have heard wonderful things about it and that it has more trees than Abilene. Well, it just so happens it has hills, some "mountains," and lots and lots of beautiful trees. One location really stuck out to me and I just knew I had to photograph there. An older home sat up on top of this hill side with a pond next to it and it overlooked the mountains and fields and you could see for miles. It was so unique to anything you see in Abilene, so every day for two weeks I drove to this location trying to get the nerve to ask this person if I could photograph on their land next to their house. Finally with the push of a photographer friend, I asked and they were so excited that they told me all of the awesome places to go to on the land and told me the history of it all. Seriously, so awesome and totally worth me gawking at it for weeks.
Valerie at Bloom Floral Artistry created another incredible floral crown for me and really helped style this session perfectly! She seriously took my vision and made it ten times more beautiful than I could have imagined!
Heather and Brian are both active duty Air Force and are stationed here in Abilene, Texas. She found out she was pregnant while in Africa and got orders to come right home. So crazy!
