Torch Homecoming | Military Homecoming Session | Abilene Dyess Texas Photographer

If you know me, you know that I love all the emotions and feels, which is why I cherish my job as much as I do! I get the feels all the time, ESPECIALLY during family reunions. Nah, not sitting around the table with cousin Vicky… I am talking military reunions. The ones where an incredibly cherished loved one returns from a long deployment and the moments leading up to and following the long-awaited hugs and kisses from that loved one. OUr military children have it harder than I could have ever imagined, which is why watching a family reunite with their loved one makes my heart clench and tears well up in my eyes. It is that moment when I hear the familiar squeal of a child’s voice squeal “daddy” (or “mommy”) from deep in their little belly and you know that in that moment, everything in this entire world is right for that sweet baby soul. My second favorite moment? Momma wiping the tears from her eyes as she sees the him, half that makes her whole, walking towards her with a beaming smile on his face. I am so blessed to be able to witness these beautiful moments for families and I deeply cherish getting to document these precious emotions for families.

Congrats Teague Family and welcome home!!!
