Gordon | Newborn Session Sneak Peek | Abilene Texas Photographer

Michele and her husband Garrett eagerly reached out to us in the fall of 2017 to inquire about a newborn session. They wanted to be sure that they had everything planned ahead of time so they could have a timely maternity session and be prepared for their newest adventure of welcome twins to the world. The day before our first meeting, Michele and Garrett received the devastating news that they had lost one of their twins. Their journey to become parents had not be an easy one, but their spirits remained high as they prepared to welcome their son to the world with his twin in heaven. 

Michele and Garrett's maternity session was a dream and the same can be said for their newborn session. Their love for each other is truly one that is special and their eagerness to hold their sweet baby boy was heartwarming to document. We were able to focus on the same elements of white and simplicity from her newborn session which created a seamless and cohesive look throughout both of the sessions. Michele and Garrett keeps the memory of the baby they lost close to their hearts and I loved being able to incorporate that in their session. The bracelets that Michele is wearing represents the four of them; one with the three here and one for their sweet baby in heaven. These are the moments that make my heart so happy that I get to create these beautiful memories and heirloom portraits for families.
