O'Fallon Illinois and St. Louis Newborn Photographer | Newborn Photography Sneak Peek |
What Next…
If you have been keeping up with me on any social media outlets, personal and/or business, you know the buzz going around about JRP is that we are moving to O’ Fallon, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis, Missouri! One of the perks (and downsides) of being a military family is that the inevitable family move that we face every couple of years is always on the horizon. This will be our 6th move with the Air Force and let me tell you, it isn’t getting easier! I have had so many questions about our upcoming move to O’Fallon, Illinois and I am so excited to spend some time answering those questions this morning!
The biggest question coming from clients: WHEN?!
We head out of Abilene around April/May 2020. There is a lot of factors that go into when we will leave here and arrive in Illinois, but it’s most likely we will be heading out mid-April.
Are you taking anymore clients in Abilene?
Not at this time. I am focusing on furthering my education in some areas more focused on business and ownership that will help me plan for a brighter ( and much more luxurious) future in Illinois! I may open family sessions for previous JRP clients in the early Spring, so be sure to stay tuned!
Will you still continue JRP?
KINDA-ish! Just not anywhere near the intensity that I came to Abilene with. My focus will be 100% on my girls and making sure they are getting into new activities and meeting new friends! I am super excited to move to Illinois and being close to St. Louis, which is a significantly larger city. It will both benefit me and also require me to work a little harder to make my business visible. If you haven’t already noticed, I am making changes already on google and in my website. But my drive this move isn’t as strong. I have adjusted my business plan to be much smaller than what it has been over the last couple of years, and I am totally happy with that! I generally photograph up to 150 a year, and I plan to only do about 15 sessions the first year or so.
Uh, Where did your wardrobe go?
Good question! If you have stopped into the studio lately, you will notice that something major is missing from the studio…. My client wardrobe! EEEEK! It was a huge decision to sell the wardrobe, but in order to create a successful business plan for relaunching in a new location without any idea of how large my space will be, I needed to declutter. Fortunately, I love shopping, so I am keeping up with all the current trends and planning my AMAZING wardrobe comeback. I’ll be keeping it under wraps, though, and the debut of the new wardrobe will most likely be later this year!
Will you come back to Abilene for sessions?
I would LOVE to! If I have previous clients who want to book a specific time of the year for me to come back out, I would be thrilled to do so! Email me your Ideas!
When will I start taking new clients in Illinois?
I am planning on taking new clients starting in September once my girls are settled into their new school. I will be focusing on newborn photography, maternity photography, and family photography. I plan to transition to Newborn and Maternity clients ONLY in Illinois by 2021.
What can I do to help JRP in the future?
The best way you can support any small business, is help spread the word! Visibility is HUGE for photographers on Google, so leaving reviews and sharing your experience is the best thing for JRP. You can also like and share us on Instagram and Facebook! I will be asking questions over facebook int he coming weeks that will help me plan and guide my business direction in the future, so help with that would be amazing!!!
So now that we have hit some of the major questions that I have had surrounding out move, check out my most recent session with this itty bitty girly and her precious family! I can’t wait to share more from her amazing session!
Hi, I’m Jaime!
I know beautiful moments. As a fine art cultivator, I capture the heart and soul of a family in a luxurious light and airy setting. I am driven by the connection between mother and child, among siblings, and the ties that bind husband and wife.
