O'Fallon and St. Louis Newborn Family | Fall Family Session

Family season is in full swing now and while I am not up to the amount of families I was photographing last year at this time, I’ve been so blessed to be able to start building an amazing start to my business here in O’Fallon, Illinois. Fall looks so different in the Midwest than how it was in West Texas! We are dazzled by deep hues of oranges and yellows, with fiery pops of reds all around us. While the fall colors weren’t a focus for this family’s session, it won’t be long before you start to see these colors showing up on the blog with many more family sessions coming up in the near future!

I am feeling so much joy and hope as we start to come to an end of 2020 ( praise the good Lord, am I right?!). I have been blessed with such an amazing support system here with instant connections. This is the first base this has happened so quickly! Our weekends are full of barbeques and enjoying the company of friends while we head out to the pumpkin patch and apple orchards. Which it has been the hardest move for us, I am starting to feel that this may be our favorite place we have been yet. I am definitely not going to complain about the beautiful scenery for my sessions, which seems to be close to what Germany looked like for us!

This sweet family contacted me soon after moving here to ensure she could get a spot right at the beginning of cooler weather. I still wasn’t completely confident how remote learning, settling in, and running a business would go, but I am so grateful for the chance to photograph this family and prove to myself that it is possible and I can be here for this!
